 The rebate form says 60 days to process, the status website says 4-5 wks, cust. serv says 10-15 wks. 15 wks later - NOTHING. Status is "Still processing" with no date when the rebates will be mailed. I get an email address to complain rebatestatus@inphonics.com. I bought two phones, so the total rebates are $300. You also have to plan the rebate on a calendar to comply with all the fine print. Its really not worth the hassle.

 got rejected for 'bill not showing previous balance paid in full' what a crock! i pay using auto credit card, so there is no way it wouldnt be paid in full. when i resubmitted my info, they told me they only go by the original submission! i have filed with BBB FTC and DC AG. i am not sure if i am eligible for the recent settlement or not.

 I agree with all of the complaints I have read here on the site. I have waited for 10 months without seeing a penny toward the $180.00 rebate that was promised by Wirefly. I have seen many complaints about purchases over the internet but it seems no one can inforce fairness concerning all the ripoffs. I will not do business with Wirefly again and will drop my T-Mobile service when the time is up. I will not do business with any of the cell phone companys that they represent either. Lesson learned.

 These numbers are listed online ar the BBB site. Search for complaints against Inphonic, Inc. I called the first number on the list and recived a combined check for all 4 rebates within a week. I just very nicely explained that I was confused about my rebate because I knew I had sent all the necessary info by certified mail.  Same story as many others. 120 days before submission; month to acknowledge. 8-10 weeks 'processing' time, 'approved' then estimated check in 4-5 weeks. Then, due to 'processing irregularities' rebates must be 'reprocessed' with 'another service provider'. Recorded phone message gives the same crap. Inphonics = Wirefly = Scammers!

 InPhonic has taken their phone number off all internet sites so you can't find a number to call them to inquire about your rebate. I had their number but discarded it. If someone has it please post. I submitted 6 rebates for 3 Motorola E815 phones and Verizon Wireless Service. I had to wait 6 months and submit between 180 and 210 days. I received e-mails comfirming the rebates were approved. Their website also stated they were approved and I would be receiving another e-mail when the checks were mailed. That process was supposed to take 10-12 weeks form receipt of my submittals. After 16 weeks I called about July 10, 2006. I was told my rebates were approved but they were expanding their processsing center and that would result in a delay my rebate checks indefinitely. That didn't make any sense and I told the rep so. Now today I checked their website and my rebates say "We are currently unable to approve your rebate....Infonic is reprocessing your submission with a new service providerand will contact you with further information regarding your rebate request. You will receive a letter or postcard describing this problem. The letter or postcards may have instructions on how to correct this error." ERROR!

 I posted earlier about Customer Loyalty and Customer Service Rebate through Verizon. Actually, this rebate was through inphonic. I suggest that you check the BBB online. There is a list of phone numbers and addresses. I got a much better result when calling the offices directly and asking nicely for help. The number was not tollfree but they checked and promised payment within 7 days. (Now if I just get it..)

 In Aug.05, we purchased a Verizon Motorola phones from InPhonic with the understanding that we would receive 2 separate $75.00 rebates for the phone. According to the 2 separate rebate claim forms, we had to wait 6 months to file for the rebates. Their instructions indicated waiting for 180 days but not more than 210. We mailed all the original documents, as instructed,to 2 separate rebate depts.in AZ, in Feb.2006. In June 2006, we got an email saying "one $75 check was on the way". By July 8, nothing received. The website www.cellphonerebates.com said, "it's being processed". Today, July 16, I called the toll-free no., and they're saying that the checks were mailed in May. Of course, the rebate papers say that "checks that are not cashed within 90 days will be void". Hence, they have lied, as we never received any checks from them. We will call Verizon to complain and any other company.

 Jan 2005 I purchased 2 Motorola phones from Cellular Buys with the understanding that I would receive $75.00 rebate per phone... I received the phones and discovered that I had to wait 6 months to even file for the rebate. I read their instructions about waiting for 180 days but not more than 210. Seemed like a ploy to get consumers to forget to file. I did not forget. I was instructed to mail the 2 rebates at different times, which I did. I copied all the info mailed them 1 week apart. I made sure everything was exactly as requested. I received 1 check but not the other. They replied that my forms were incomplete.Next they had me fax all the copies, no answer.I have been having a war of words with them since. They have told me that my form was not dated (false). Have a copy of e-mail dated March 28 2006 stating rebate is valid and a check will be processed. I have e-mailed and called 6 times. I was told I filed too late therefore no check. How do these people sleep at night? When is something going to be done to put these companies down. It has been impossible to get past the people that answer the phones at the rebate center. No help from Cellular Buys or Verizon. Any ideas where to go next??

 InPhonic is a fraud website. DO NOT buy your cellphones from InPhonic. They denied me the rebates saying that the rebates were postmarked at a later date. All crap. If you buy cell phones from them be sure to Certify your mail. I want to legally sue this company. Is there any way I can approach someone to get my money back?

I made sure all the t's were crossed and all the i's dotted.I made sure everything was exactly as requested.Was not surprised to get a response that all rebates were denied. They replied that my forms were incomplete or illegible. I have been having a war of words with them since.They have told me that my forms were not dated(false), They have since approved 2 but I have seen no money. They say the other 2 are being reexamined on some days and other days they are incomplete or illegible. This company is unbelievable in the lengths they are going to defraud me.Now the company is just ignoring my e mails.This company needs to be made to pay up. I have spent countless hours of wasting my time by trying to make them honor their rebates.I realize that they have no intention of paying me nor did they ever.

(One Month), it is July 6th now, six months later and still no rebate. I have wrote them and I get form letters saying "it is in process". What a joke. I have called T-mobile and they seem to try but it is a useless dead end. They seem to care and want something to happen for me but believe me, they do it all the time and accomplish nothing. I have spoken to customer service supervisor at T-moble and no satisfaction there. I believe the fault of T-Mobile to use legit business sub-contractors is the problem. I am sure in reading the complaints on here and T-Mobile complaints that have been filed that it looks like they must be in bed together. Well I can tell you this, I am not renewing with t-moble at the end of this month, so they will lose thousands in business from me. I am on the phone now with T-mobile rep and she comes back on the line and ask me when i filed for the rebate, more delay. I have even received and have a copy of the transmission that says the checks have been cut and I should receive them in eight weeks. LOL. Tell that to your credit card company and or T-Mobile for there bills that they send to you. This is ashame when you have to go thru soo much trouble to receive a rebate and the consumer protection dept should fine these people and police them to make sure that consumers are not ripped off.  Sold by Tiger Direct.com wireless - Inphonic requests you to hold the submission for three months. They first promise a rebate in 8-10 weeks after acceptance of your rebate information. They change it to 10-12 weeks after you call, and they have no method of telling you why they haven't sent it other then they are to busy.

IN MY STATE,AND INTERNET CRIME CENTER IS PROBABLY NOT GOING TO GET MY REBATE, BUT MIGHT HELP SAVE OTHERS. IT IS HELPFUL TO KEEP PRESSURE ON THE WIRELESS SERVICE PROVIDER FOR SOME CREDIT OR ADJUSTMENT CUZ IT HELPS AND THEY DO CONTRACT WITH THESE PPL TO SELL THEIR SERVICE SO THEY DO SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY.  $125. Inphonic Customer Appreciation rebate, and $125.00 Nextel Loyalty rebate for nextel phone I bought online from Wirefly.com on 8/10/05. Forms were mailed in 3/3/06 as instructed;followed all instructions and kept copies of everything. Got 2 emails from the rebate processing center; one said they received my submission and the second said they approved my rebates and would be sending a third email when the check was going to be mailed. Never got another email, and can't get them on the internet or telephone. Just get recording that it's been received and to be patient and call back in 3 to 4 weeks for an updated status. But when called back, the same message is repeated and has been for 3 months. I've never spoken to a real person and it's been more than a year and two months since I bought my Nextel i860 that was supposed to be free after rebates. I'm still waiting for my $250.

 Update on my previous report. As I said, I bought 2 phones in May 06. Inphonic filed for bankruptcy and yes my name is listed as they owe me a rebate. But, I think I will never see it! They messed around with processing my rebate because they KNEW that they were going to file bankruptcy and would get away with it. Wirefly is still in business. They actually had the gall to send me an email several months ago saying that they knew they owed me for a rebate, were sorry, and offered me $100 if I would buy something else from them. This is THE LAST COMPANY IN THE WORLD THAT I WOULD EVER BUY FROM AGAIN! How stupid do they think that I am??!! Once scorned, once burned, never again! Wirefly is the worst company in the world! I will tell everyone!

 Had a total of $280 in rebates on two phones. First two were rejected because of extreme requirements. The second two are supposed to be on their way, but after 14 weeks, I still haven't seen them. I have called the company and in 1st week of Sept. They claimed that these two rebates were being processed and everything looked OK. Now, I don't really expect to receive them, since Inphonic has filed Chp.11...yet, they are still in business! Don't use them please! I will never use Wirefly again!

Also go on your states attorney general's office & file a complaint. Everyone just let's them get away with it & it won't stop.Please, it's your money & you have to fight for it! Don't bother calling & arguing- it get's you nowhere. Enough complaints to the bbb & attorney general & they'll be shut down.

 Inphonics could not operate as it does without the tacit consent of its cell phone service company clients. It has been impossible to determine if Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc. are (a) aware of the business practices of Inphonics or (b) completely oblivious to the breadth and scope of consumer complaints or (c) aware and selectively indifferent. It doesn't matter. Either they know or should have known that a marketing agent for their services has been inducing customers with (a) deceptive practices and/or (b) choreographing a very clever obstacle course to deter consumers from pursuing the rebates to which they are entitled. Some of the machinations used to 'qualify' customers for rebates are as ingenious as they are ludicrous. Holding the cell phone companies feet to the fire, a class action lawsuit, criminal investigations by States' Attorneys General, sharing information and incidents incidents online and with Consumers Union, and the news media will ultimately effect change. Calling Inphonics or Wirefly is a waste of time and energy. They have erected a sophisticated filtering and contact avoidance system.
