 The first problem with Sears was getting my installation fee refunded. Upon purcbase I did not know if I needed Sears to install or if husband could do it for my mother's gift.I was instructed to call Installation Dept. to cancel if svc. not needed but to get my 199.99 refunded I would need to call my salesperson. I called him to assure that he would credit my Sear Charge Card. After 6 weeks there was no credit to the card and then I began the fiasco of reaching the salesperson which consisted of leaving messages for him, actually talking to him and him saying he would call me back (never did), and finally had to call the store manager to compain & finally after 8 weeks I received my refund. After telling the manager I would never shop there again she offered me 5% off on any purchase. Are you kidding me, 5%, do you think 5% discount is worth going through this pitiful customer service. Then the next fiasco............at time of purchase we were told we had the option of 12 months same as cash financing or we could receive free delivery of which I chose. They charged me the $65.00 deliver fee and said to get it free I would have to complete the rebate form and mail it in. The salesperson said he didn't have any rebate forms and I would have to download it from a computer and that there was a 60 day deadline of applying for it from the date of purchase. Purchase date was 11/30/09 and the rebate center received my form on 01/l9/2010. Today, 04/20/2010, I called to inquire of the status of rebate and was told that I missed the deadline for applying because it was a 30 day deadline not 60 as my salesperson had claimed. The rebate center also said that I downloaded the wrong rebate form. Unfortunately, I did not make a copy of my rebate form and when I asked him to mail me a copy, he said that he did not have access to one. When replacing $8,000 of kitchen appliances and 2 big screen t.v.s, on 2/15/2010 Best Buy in Peachtree City was a dream experience.

 bought my electrolux on 12/6/09 and I have called several times about my 500.00 rebate and each time i also get the same response that it was mailed or it is being reissued and no one can tell me who to talk to. Don't know where to go from here to receive my rebate.

 Bought the appliance in January. Filed the rebate paperwork immediately. The eRebate center has now provided three different excuses on why they have not sent out the rebate. Each of these excuses differs only in the amount of time they say I must wait. First it was 30 days, then 7-10 business days after that, now 21 days. The program is managed by www.everybodywins.com which is a company called Ohana Companies. As far as I can tell this is the company that makes money for not processing the rebate. Contacting Sears is a dead end, don't waste your time. Buyer beware STAY AWAY FROM THIS REBATE - IT IS A SCAM!

 I was not informed when I purchased the 'fridge that I needed to submit rebate within 30 days - so at 45 days it was denied of course. Also, haul away for recycling? I don't think so... Sears advertise themselves as being environmentally responsible - i.e., they arrange for recyling of your old appliance. When I asked the delivery guy who took the old fridge about recycling, he seemed a little surprised. I got the impression that my old fridge was destined for the landfill - just where I didn't want it to go. Their recycling policy was the main reason why I went to Sears. I will never believe their hype again.

 I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer. Because of the $300 rebate I went for the top of the line module. I have YET to get this rebate and I made my purchase on 10/21/09. I have sent request regarding it and I get replies that it is coming, but each time a different amount of days. The first inquiry in November said 10-14 days. The second in December said 7-10 days. I still have yet to receive the rebate as of 12/29. I will NEVER make a large purchase because of the rebate incentive. Sears really sucks!

 My Mom bought a washer in July, they told her she could send in for a $75.00 rebate. I got all the paper work I needed. I told her I would do it for her. I sent it in and in October they told her she was not going to get her rebate. No explantion. So I emailed them, they wanted to talk in person, so I called and he told me he could not see any problems in getting my rebate. Then he called my Mom and said we can not send you the rebate now. So I called again. They still could not give me a reason. All I know is that I am still fighting with them. I told them I work for a big department store and our motto is "Customer First" we will do anything to make the customer happy. Sears gets a big F in that category. The guy seemed friendly on the phone, but still did not get my REBATE. Buyer beware of Sears rebates. I had bought a dishwasher and they told me it would cost me $75.00 for delivery 5 blocks away from the store. I told them I would get my own truck and take it home. The clerk told me I would get a rebate, but I read the fine print and I had to buy a garbage disposal also. The clerk had no clue, they need to train their clerks better. So needless to say I am not going to buy any of my appliances for my new kitchen at my local or any Sears Store. They lost my business for good.

 I bought the washer/dryer set in May 2009 they said they mailed out the rebate and guess what, I haven't received it. I've called them time and time again. It is now DECEMBER 8, 2009 and I still haven't received it! Nothing but thieves and their reps are ridiculously RUDE!

 June 30, 2009; I filed everything for a clothing rebate. I watched the progress on-line via the web site, that part was good. After 9 weeks, Sears claimed they mailed the rebate. I never received it. Now they say there is nothing they can do. I have to wonder, does Sears have trustworthy people working in their rebate processing dept?

 Submitted $75 rebate covering delivery of a mattress online. Did not receive email notifying me that the rebate was "unqualified" (because there is no record of that transaction) until 7 weeks after I submitted it. Went to Rebate Status Check online to see if I incorrectly entered anything, only to find out, there was nothing to change, all requested information was entered correctly. Stupid rebate center person stated they could do nothing because there is no record of the transaction, and to go to the store to get the correct numbers. Went to store to ask them to call Rebate Center to correct situation (it was after work, and the Rebate Center had just closed), been two weeks, no call from store. Just getting the run around. Will NEVER buy expensive items with "Rebates" from Sears again.

 On Jan. 19, 2009, I bought a $579.99 water heater from Sears and the sale representative gave me rebate form which is $35 rebater with a purchase of over $299 water heater. I filed the form next day with copy of the receipt. Two month past I did not receive any rebate. I went to local Sears store and one of sale rep helped me to call the rebate center to inquire the status of this rebate. He found that the program number for this rebate was enterd wrong by the clerk at the rebate center. The clerk at the rebate center re-entered the correct number which is H090016. Several months past I had not received any rebate. During those months, I had called the rebate center several times and they all told me that they filed my rebate with correct number, please wait 10 to 14 days. I made a last call on July 23, 2009, to the rebate center. The representative told me that the rebate was denied because the water heater that I purchased was not at regular price of $589.99. However, the rebate form never said that it excludes any purchae with discount. Instead the rebate form clearly stated that any purchase over $299 would get a rebate. The Sears pepresentative can not provide me any written ducument saying rebate is base on regular price $589.99.

 Bought a new home and bought $5600 worth of appliances-a refrigerator, washer and dryer, and dishwasher and was told that I would get a 20% rebate on the products. Date of purchease was in March 2009. It's been over 4 months and I only have $120 to show for. Called Rebate Center multiples times and was promised repeatedly either the check was processing (even though the status showed that the giftcard was sent in May!!!) and I would get the rest of my money in 6-8 weeks. It's been 6-8 weeks!!! Don't buy from these crooks. I'm going with Home Depot, Best Buy, or Costco from now on.

 I purchased a gas wall oven using Sears.com which Sears delivered and installed. I was supposed to get a rebate for the installation fee. The installation was $124.99 and the delivery was $65. On the receipt, both fees were combined under "Installation Fee" for $189.99. I called the Rebate Center after waiting two months and was told that the delivery fee could not be refuned unless it was itemized on the receipt. I was instructed to call Sears.com. I called Sears.com to get the receipt itemized and was told I had to call the Rebate Center. Spoke to several managers and to National Customer Relations. No one will help me.

 I purchased a Kenmore dishwasher. At the time there was a free delivery program H090263 for appliances over $399. I was charged $65 and was told that once I fill out the form I will get the money back. After 8 weeks I called and was told that there is a technical problem and that I will get the refund in two weeks. After two weeks I called back and was told that I should wait another 5 days and that everything is OK. Now I was told that I will never see my money since the dishwasher was on sale. I was also told that even though I have it in writing that I will get the money back I can not do anything about it. Be warned and just don't buy anything at this place ! Go to Home Depot where they deliver for free without having to wait for a rebate.

 Bought my washer and dryer from sears on 1-27-09 was toldI would recieve my full rebate in a little over a month. in 2 months I got 75 dollars. I called to ask where the rest was and they told me that the 75 was all I was getting. After 45 minutes on the phone she finally discovered I was owed 10% rebate on washer. She tolad me I would recieve that money in a little over a month. I waited still no rebate. I called again was told 7 to 10 days. 14 days latter I called I was told that they were in there 17th week of rebates and mine was to be mailed out on the 19th week. So I waited 3 more weeks and called again. grrrrrr!!!!! Then I was told that my check was in the mail. "in the mail" not proccessing any more I was told it was on its way to my home. 7 to 10 days I would recieve it. 14 days later no check. LIERS!!!!! I call ask to speak to a manger this time. After I tell the lady what is going on she puts me on hold while she soposedly was getting the manager. 45 minutes later my call is cut off. I am guessing that was because there rebate center closed, because when I called back a message said they were closed. So the next day I called back early. I was very mad by then. I got on the phone with the manager who then told me that I would recieve my check in 7 to 14 days that it was still being proccessed. So it is June 15th and still no check. My husbend talked to the guy from are local sears store the other day about this rebate stuff and he said he has had the same problem when he tryed to get his rebate from them. He and my husband think that they do this to where people down so they will give up. I wont give up but I will never buy from sears again!!!!!!

 submitted paper work for a rebate on Stove. Sent info next day after purchase, when I tried to check on the missing rebate I was told that program had expired. so therefore I am out of luck. sears has very bad public relations. Cannot get an answer to anything because the people who these messages go to do not care or know what sears policy is for handling problem. they are usually low paid and don't care. that is what Sears has become.

 Purchase stove on 11-28-2008 for $626.59. Instructions to obtain rebate via web on receipt were difficult to understand. But I did it. I got a confirmation e-mail from Sears on 12-8-2008. On 2-18-09, received notice to request type of payment: check or store gift card. Logged in but system wouldn't let me choose. on 4-16-09, received e-mail request to verify my address because check supposedly sent back. I logged in and verified my address was correct. I used the "contact us" to let them know it was the correct address and to point out this was ridiculously long time. Now it is 11-28-09, six months after the purchase, and I have nothing to show for a rebate. Please note that all contact from Sears has been via automated e-mails. Even my attempts to use "Contact Us" have not received a human response. Given the speed of computers, you can't blame this on "human processing takes time".

 I bought a kitchen cook stove at the grand opening sale offering a $55 rebate. I filed for the rebate online as instructed. At first my claim was in a 30 day hold for return status. Then it went to denied - documents cannot be found. I emailed and got the response of they were having IT problems and they woulf get back to me when it was resolved. They never got back. I went to the local Sears store and was told everything had change and they could not help me. I don't think Sears ever intended to give a rebate. Other store will get my future business. Goodbye Sears.

 I was trying to decide whether to buy a Simmons Mattress I'd just looked at at a furniture store or the Sears-o-Pedic at Sears. It came down to whether Sears would deliver for free like the furniture store said they would. The salesman said, "Yes. We have a rebate for free delivery & haul away of your old mattress," and we made our final decision to buy the Sears-o-Pedic based on that offer. Sent the rebate form in with the required receipt and today got back a form saying our rebate was denied because it didn't fall within the period of the offer. On closer examination of my photocopy of the form I sent in, I see that it says it expired BEFORE WE BOUGHT OUR MATTRESS. So the salesman lied to us to make a sale. That's blatant misrepresentation. I'm reporting them to the BBB and the Attorney General's Office.

 Did online rebate but it failed to accept my form, several times, over the course of a week. Called customer service about the bad web-form rebate sumission site. Told to send everything by paper. Sent rebate by postal mail exactly per rebate instructions. 4 weeks later, received a letter stating that the receipt had to be original. Since I ordered online, I have an e-mail receipt. Sears rebate = fail.

 I submitted my rebate request in Dec 2006. In Feb 2007, I checked on the status, and received word that it was denied due to "requirements for this rebate were not met". I called, and they said it was not submitted correctly, and they would submit, but it would take 6-8 more weeks. Today 4/3/07, I checked and it was denied again for the same reason. I called, and the person at the Rebate Ctr (a third party co.), said that the product code was supposed to qualify, but was not being accepted by their computer. (I had to call three times, and ask for a supervisor, since the first two times, I was put on hold, and got disconnected.) They indicated that I would have to call Sears Customer Complaint Dept, which put me in touch with Retail Svcs. Retail Svcs resubmitted to the Rebate Ctr, and indicated that the Rebate Ctr could not reject their submittal. Unfortunately, it would take another 10 weeks to get my rebate. IF I get the reabte at that time, it will have been 6 months, and 13 phone calls to get the money. I think this is fraudulent. If they do not come through this time, I will go to the store, and tell them to come pick up the appliances.

 I just looked online to follow up with the rebate applied for on 11/16/09. It was denied because it did not meet the minimum price requirement. The minimum price requirement was $388 and I paid $395.99. Could someone tell me if $395.99 is less than $388? I was reviewing my 2nd grade math book and I think $395.99 is after (higher) than $388. Don't trust what Sears tell you. They lie.

 Bought Kenmore Elite dishwasher with promise of $99 inst rebate and a $35 rebate. I submitted the rebate docs online as instructed & rcvd the $35 rebate with decline ltr for $99 rebate because the computer system at the Rebate Center did not recognize the model as qualifying. Drove to store and sales rep. clld center and was told to resubmit printed docs as per Christina @ Ctr. Declined 2nd time due to late submission. Clld again, Lynn told me to resubmit but I demanded a supervisor, phn rang no answr. Clld and Cathy made me tell the story for a 3rd time and said "too late, I cashed the $35 check". Demanded supervisor again, phne rang forever and finally disconnected without answer. NEVER AGAIN!

 A on-going battle to have rebates fullfilled correctly. Complaints in the past have produced a adjustment, but never a response as to why or how you a being defrauded of your total rebate amount. Now it seems the no response attitude is the way not to fullfill there obligations on rebates amounts. Dealing with young america has produced a pattern of intentional defrauding of total rebate amounts and the ole squeaky wheel gets the oil gets you results most of the time. But deaf ears at this company will result in state and federal filing against them for fraud with there no response attitude this time as they try to keep the consumers rebate monies.
