soo Bottom line is www.myrebates411.com is a SCAM! they do mostly all biostar motherboard rebates that I know of so far.. not sure of any other products out there. Contacted customer service in late December, and mailed out immediately. Contact with customer service was pleasant. Only 1 contact needed, and response was sent out within 24-48 hours. Had rebate check within the week.
There isn't an overall rating for this experience, but I'd give it a "C". I'm a bit upset it took 5+ months to get a rebate when it was promised in 12-14 weeks. However, I am VERY pleased that once contact was made, was resolved ASAP.
I'm hoping that the company is catching wind of all of its negative reports and is trying to improve itself. From what I understand, this is pretty much a one man operation, and the guy needs rehab or something. 99/100 reabtes either get denied or he pulls this delay scheme. I guess it all began with some server crash back in Janurary. He sent out a response to late rebate inquiries, saying the crash wasnt his fault. How you cant take responsibility for your own business is beyond me. He then tells everyone to wait, while they get their data back in order. You wont hear from them again, unless you inquire again. If you do get a response, he'll tell you to resubmit your materials, something of which he should have asked for when people first inquired. Even after you send the stuff abck in though, he still wont process it. He'll either ignore you, or he'll tell you "checks in the mail!" But it isnt. I believe he's lost most of his accounts, and the only sad thing is, unknowing consumers will try to submit for the residual rebates he does have left out there. myrebates411 is almost out of business, and its the owner there thats driven it into the ground, because he doesnt care about cust service, doesnt care about people feeling ripped off, and he doesnt care about his company. Maybe he's already gone back to his burger joint job, who knows. DO NOT expect a rebate back from this place though, he gave up months ago.
Lastly, this guy actually has te audacity to thank you, when he feels like you're being polite in your emails. Imagine that, as logn as you're happy your getting ripped off, he cool with it. Basically once you've reached this point that means you'll never get the rebate. They have not sent out the rebate, they have no intention of sending out the rebate, they are collecting the money for themselves. After you get tired of waiting for months you'll search their website for contact information, unable to find it so you'll resort to a google search of old whois information to finally find a working email address (bob@myrebates411.com) and/or a working phone number (818-352-2610). You'll exchange emails until they finally say they will cancel the "old" check and send a new one, and at this point they will never respond to another one of your emails. You never get the check, and the phone number goes straight to voicemail. Simply put, this company is a complete scam that has no intention of sending out rebate checks. I'm hopeful Newegg will come through for me but I'm not betting on it.
