I then thanked him for his help and hung up before he could say another lying word!!!

I called them and they told me they made an error and were going to reprocess it and I would have my money in 15 days. Now 20 days later and still nothing. I went on to check the status and again it's invalid. I called my local Home Depot store and told them about the situation and was told to bring everything into the store and that they would call and sort it out. They stated that my receipts were valid and that they had no idea why it wasn't being processed.
I called the rebate centre again and was told that the computer system was down and I went off on her. I told her that I felt that this was a SCAM and that the media should be informed of this that if they are waiting for me to stop calling then they can forget it. I then called my local store again and told the customer service department that I was furious at the way Home Depot treats their customers and that I also felt the public through the media outlets need to know about this. I was quickly told to bring the receipts in and they would fix the problem.
I know it's only $30 but it's the fact that it's a scam that ticks me off.
This will not go away for me. If I don't get any answers this week I will be writing to the media and contacting the New stations. If everyone did this and didn't let it rest then Home Depot will not be able to get away with this treatment of their customers. I submitted everything online (correctly) and received an email a month later giving me a tracking number. When I went to check the status of my rebate it said it was INVALID, no reason was provided. When I called customer service the lady said that the rebate had to be mailed in. When I told her that the rebate form stated "If you submit online, you DO NOT need to mail in the offer form or receipts" she hung up on me!!
I will never do business with Home Depot or Behr again.

Our records indicate your rebate submission was entered into our system on 09/04/08. So I call up in confusion not knowing what was going on with it and she tells me that the rebate has from 6 t0 8 weeks now this is off all of their email I have received.
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing from this date.
DO NOT BUY FROM HOME DEPOT UNLESS U JHAVE NO CHOICE AND THERE IS NOTHING TO DUE WITH A REBATE BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET IT!

When, by 4/16/08, I still hadn't received my rebate I went to the local Home Depot store and talked with a customer service representative (CSR)who called the Rebate Center and got the same response; that the rebate was being processed. The CSR then told me if I hadn't received the rebate in three weeks, to check back with her. When I hadn't received the rebate in three weeks I checked back and learned that they were going to start a whole new rebate submission and I should receive the rebate check in 6-8 weeks. As it turned out, I did get the rebate check three weeks later almost five months from the date of submission. This whole episode has soured me on Home Depot and they will not get ANY of my future business. 4 months ago I bought a Maytag dishwasher & oven that were advertised and personally noted by an HD employee that they both qualified for rebate, one for a $50 gift card the other a $75 card. I followed all instructions on the rebate forms, received the $50 card a few weeks later. I emailed the rebate center about the $75 card and was told that duplicate submissions aren't allowed. I emailed again, explaining it wasn't a duplicate submission, I got the same answer. I called the local store and was told they would take care of it and get my $75 card. Believing that and my HD loyalty intact I bought a refrigerator, washer and dryer. A week later I was emailed and told by the rebate center that they would send another $50 card if the previous one hadn't been used and the first one would be canceled.
While kicking myself for having spent so much more money at HD I got another email from the
rebate center claiming the oven didn't
qualify for a rebate.
I emailed Home Depots customer service center
in India letting me know of the situation and
that I will find a different place to spend my money.
Still feeling slighted about how HD has treated me after having spent thousands of dollars there the last few years I called the local store again, "they would look in to it", a couple of days later I got a call
back and was told the oven "definitely "
qualified.
The same day I got an email from the customer
service center and was told if I emailed
back and verified my address that out of of "goodwill" they would send a $75.00 gift card. Takes "goodwill" to honor a rebate?
But anyway, a few hours later they emailed
back and told me that my "$30.00" card is
on the way. Oh well, I tried.
It's odd though, that Home Depot outsources
a customer service center in attempts to
handle complaints about the outsourced
rebate center. We recently tried the 800 number to inquire about the status of the rebate---the number was no longer in service.
Today (Dec.27, 2006)we went to the Home Depot store in Biddeford, Maine with our paper work. We spoke with the manager (Jim) we was very helpful and very understanding of the situation. Within a few minutes we had a store credit in the amount of our rebate. We were very pleased with the results and will continue to shop at Home Depot in Biddeford because we were satisfied with the results. Sometimes it is not the store, but the manufacturer. We feel the people at the rebate center are mostly at fault. We did have all the information required. We were not required to know the date we mailed the rebate. We believe Robert was getting rid of us and lied. But, Home Depot honored the rebate amount and can in no way be considered at fault.The store manager was a very nice person. I purchased a 7 piece garage storage system in March 2006 and sent in all the required documents well before the deadline. (I had to go to the store 3 times to get all the pieces.) Today I checked again and the status remains the same. I talked to a supervisor who informed me that it would remain that way for up to a year because I took advantage ot the no payment/no interest plan that was offered. I told her that even with that plan, this was the same as any other credit transaction and that the rebate should be fulfilled. I was informed she could do nothing more to resolve the problem.
I contacted Home Depot Customer Service and provided them with an explanation of the problem. The HD rep contacted the rebate processing center to resolve the issue. She then told me that the problem was with the store that wrote the work because they should have informed me that the no interest offer would delay the fulfillment. She further told me that she could do nothing to resolve the complaint.
Note: There is nothing on the rebate form/offer that indicates processing would be delayed if the no interest/no payment offer was used. I wonder what they would do if I didn't take the offer and decided to make 48 months of payments.

Have mailed & faxed information many times. Have talked with a whole cast of characters who keep advising that problem has been solved. Only later I get back to them and they say that the last time it did not work and this time it will. The phone number keeps advising you to go to the web-site if you don't want to wait. Go to website and it doesn't recognize me. Talked with a supervisor that said she couldn't do anything but bump it upstairs (where ever upstairs is) Tried to contact HD customer service at the corporate level but all I did was get referred back to the fastgift-card.com. Tried to talk to customer service at the local level but they say their hands are tied. Bought insulation specifically to take advantage of the deal, but HD is stonewalling me at every turn. Bad, bad experience...the people at fastgift.card are getting increasingly combative with each call. I have to go through the entire diseration on how I got to the point I am at, and these guys are acting like I am bothering them. + After three months (this is in July) received an e-mail with a false date of 5/18/2006 stating our rebate had been mailed on 5/18.
+ The e-mail stated that the rebate would be $250 instead of the $318 indicated by the receipt (Nothing said the rebate was only for the base price of the shed.)
